Daniel Bachmann Andersen is loving the latest phase of his equestrian career after leaving his long-term stable, Blue Hors, last year.
The Danish Dressage star shocked many when he departed his position as Blue Hors’ No.1 last May to set up a new venture with his wife, the Norwegian Dressage rider Tiril Anerud. He had enjoyed many successes at Blue Hors, taking Zack and Don Olymbrio to the upper echelons of the world rankings.
Daniel, who turned 30 late last year, explains the reasons for the switch in the latest RIDE video, part of the FEI TV series.
He gives the lowdown on his decision, how his life has changed and how important it was to set up the venture with Tiril. He also reveals some of the new training methods he’s enjoyed testing out at Kleppenhus, his new facility near the Danish city of Aarhus.
“It has really taken my level of horsemanship to another level!” Daniel says.
